Airline tickets

Once you have made your reservation through fiesta-fly.com, we will email you all the necessary documents for your trip, including an electronic airline ticket or voucher, as well as check-in information – when, where, and how to register for your flight.

What is the difference between a ticket and a boarding pass?

Airline ticket (e-ticket) - This is the document that proves you have purchased a trip on a particular flight. It contains information about: the flight number; the departure date and time; the departure and arrival airports; the passenger's name; the reservation number/code. Your ticket entitles you to check in and receive a boarding pass, but it does not allow you to board the aircraft.

The boarding pass is the document you receive after you check in for your flight. It contains your name, flight number, seat number, gate for boarding the aircraft, and a barcode that is scanned at the airport.

What is check-in?

Check-in is the process of confirming to the airline that you will be traveling on a specific flight. This is a mandatory step before boarding the plane. During check-in, you confirm your personal details and ticket information; select (or are automatically assigned) a seat on the plane; register your checked baggage (if you have any); and receive your boarding pass, the document you will need to pass through security and board the plane.

When should it be done?

  • Online check-in: Usually starts 24 to 48 hours before the flight, via the airline's website or mobile app. Online check-in is a quick and easy way to register for your flight and reserve your seat on the plane via the airline's website and request additional services from the airline if you wish (e.g. extra baggage, adding special equipment, transporting pets, requesting special meals, etc.)
  • At the airport: This can be done at the check-in desk or at a self-service kiosk (self-check-in) several hours before departure.

*Some airlines require mandatory online check-in. If you do not do this in advance, you may be charged extra at the airport.
